Recently the SocMed gang & I had a chance to try out some of their dishes. I must honestly that initially we were quite skeptical if Buon Gusto (BG) can make tasty dishes but after a few starters we were all impressed and the “mmmmm” and “yuummss” were the reaction of the night.

So hopefully, BG will be able to maintain the quality of their food with a very efficient service. Good luck BG!

All you can eat Sungkai at Villa Mauri.

Just so you know it’s not really $20, there’s a 10% service charge. Honestly, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just put it as $22 and get rid of the small print. Anyway, for an Italian buffet, that’s not a bad pricing at all.

Sungkai at Da’Mammamia Pizzeria. Different from others. No buffet here. Only discounts depending how much you order.

Ramadhan special offer;

  • $40 = 15% off
  • $41-$60 = 20% off
  • $61-$100 = 25% off
  • $101 and above = 30% off

I recommend the Family Pizza. Its half meter long and has 3 different toppings of your choice. Only $33. Dishes are freshly prepared so you’ll be sure to get it off the stove.

Grazie Mauri Italian Restaurant (#Brunei).

Grazie Mauri is run by Chef Salvatore, who is the brother of Villa Mauri’s chef, Chef Maurizio. Right smack in the heart of Gadong, the place occupies the old spot where Sushi Tei was. It’s the building where Pondok Seri Wangi and Mulaut BBQ is.

The moment you walk into the place, you’ll definitely appreciate the bright lighting which makes the two-floors restaurant very spacious. The menu is pretty predictable if you’re used to Villa Mauri but Chef Salvatore does have a couple of signature dishes of his own. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for the Chef’s special.

If you’re a big fan of desserts, then you’ll be spoilt for choices. You will be tempted to order them all! I personally recommend the Tiramisu. So, go head on down and give  it a go. You’ll probably bump into Chef Salvatore who usually goes from table to table to ask if your order is ok.
