Bunker Bistro Launches New Menu.

I won’t deny the fact that dining here isn’t cheap. But I think it’s worth it if you wanna spoil yourself from the usual restaurants & cafes around town. It’s a good place to treat someone on their birthday or celebrate some kind of anniversary. I’m certainly coming back for the char kway teow with beef tenderloin & fried egg soon!

Press Release: The Empire Hotel and Country Club’s upscale clubhouse restaurant – Bunker Bistro has launched its new menu early this month. The dining venue that overlooks the putting green, South China Sea and Country Club’s 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, is featuring a deliciously new appetizing menu, highlighting both local and international cuisine.

Starts off your meal by stimulating your appetite with beautiful array of healthy green selections, such as Caesar’s salad – tossed with garlic croutons, poached egg, and parmesan shavings, prepared with a choice of roasted chicken or smoked salmon or relaxed with some nachos or barbeque chicken spring roll and more.

Delicious sandwiches are also available to work up your appetite, particularly for golfers after a round of golf. Healthier options are also available such as Chicken Quesadilla – grilled seasoned chicken breast, cheddar cheese layered between flour tortilla guacamole, or a hearty meal go for the pan smeared salmon fillet topped with mango salsa and balsamic dressing or meet lovers can dig in on the succulent beef tenderloin “minute” steaks. And then again, you may also try the traditional club sandwich that never to be missed.

For those who prefer Asian food, Bunker Bistro offers selections of traditional char kway teow, hainanese chicken rice, Thai green chicken curry or Nyonya laksa.

For our adorable little ones, Bistro has mini beef burger served with Bunker French fries, Spaghettini Bolognese topped with parmesan cheese as well as chicken nuggets.

To end the meal, indulge in the selection of sweet endings. For ice cream lovers, must try the chocolate marble layered with passion fruit sauce together with ‘after eight’ ice cream or indulge in the apple panna cotta with shredded apple and crumbled meringue and more other tasty desserts.

The Bunker Bistro is located at the Empire Country Club and operates from 10am to 10pm on Monday to Thursday meanwhile starts with breakfast at 6.30am on Friday to Sunday, closing at 10pm. For further information or reservations, please contact Bunker Bistro at 241 8888.

Sungkai at The Atrium Restaurant, The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

Very much recommended. It’s got great views of the sunset, peaceful and less crowded too. As you can see they have an extensive buffet line too. Although a bit on the high side, I would say it’s worth it. Sungkai is $28 per adult and $14 per child. Choices varies from Iranian Chicken Kebab, Lamb, Massaman Curry, Stir-fried Mussel with Szechuan Sauce, Ambuyat, Murtabak Station, Barbeque Mixed Gril and many more.

They’ve got yummy desserts too like Chocolate Triangle, Hazelnut Praline Cake, Pear Charlotte, Semolina Pudding and other varieties. After you’re done with Sungkai, you can go down to the Ground level to enjoy hot drinks and their famous Cake Batik in an Arabic themed lounge which opens until 11pm daily.

Hari Raya cakes are also available at the Lobby Lounge for takeaways until 11 September. The cakes include the ever popular Empire Kek Batik, Kek Batik Vico, Kek Lapis Nutella, Kek Lapis Cranberry, Kek Lapis Prune and Kek Lapis Betawi. Empire Cake gift box is also for sale with choices of 4 flavors for only $25 per box.
